The holiday season is upon us and the mountains are alive with festivities. We all have our own traditions we enjoy every year and so do our quaint mountain towns! Before you snuggle up with some warm cider in front of your crackling fireplace, come on out to Madison County, NC to enjoy some of the holiday spirit!


Santa at the Mars Hill Gazebo

Saturday, November 26: 11am-2pm

Rumor has it that Santa is stopping by Mars Hill on November 26 from 11am-2pm! Santa will be spreading cheer at the Mars Hill Gazebo on Main Street.

Put on your best Christmas sweater and come out to tell Santa all the gifts you hope to receive this year! Santa may even be bringing some of his elves to help keep track of all the kids on his naughty and nice lists. See you there!


Mars Hill Christmas Parade

Friday, December 2: 6pm

The Mars Hill Christmas Parade begins at 6pm on Friday, December 2nd. The Parade begins at North Main Street and Bruce Road, proceeds onto Cascade Street and finishes on Athletic Street. Come out and enjoy the fun floats, community groups and live music!

The Mars Hill Christmas Parade coincides the December Mars Hill First Friday event so stick around for lots of live music, crafts, drinks, food and more! Friday, December 2nd is a busy and festive night in downtown Mars Hill!


Hot Springs Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting and Caroling

Saturday, December 3: 5:30pm

The town of Hot Springs, NC comes together to welcome in this joyful season!  Santa has confirmed he will be there! Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider, and cookies will be provided.  Luminaries will also be available to remember the lights of our lives who have passed away.

Maps for the Decoration Contest will be available to pick up at the ceremony.  Saturday, December 3rd on the grounds of the Alpine Court Motel at 5:30pm.
