Spillcorn Creek

If you are looking for some peace and quiet where you won’t encounter another angler then Spillcorn Creek may be the place for you. SpillCorn Creek is located in the very rural northern part of Madison County and is stocked in the spring and fall. You’ll be able to catch Brown, Brook and Rainbow trout here pretty readily under ideal conditions.

The Creek runs alongside Spillcorn road and you’ll have to be creative with your parking as it is scarce.

Many different lures can be used here to varying degrees of success. Depending on the time of day, listen to what you hear around you as it may give you clues as to what the fish are eating. Anglers can’t go wrong with spinners and dry flies here.

Again, your one challenge here may be the lack of parking. There are only a few easy road pull-offs along Spillcorn Road to park, please be respectful of the private property adjacent to Spillcorn Creek and do not leave litter or debris as there are no available disposal areas.

Directions

From the I-26 take exit 3 towards Wolf Laurel, turn left (north) on the ALT 23 and then in .25 miles turn left onto Big Laurel Road. Stay on Big Laurel Road for 13 miles until it connects with Spillcorn Road on your right.
