Creativity that moves mountains. Discover the complex and impressive art made by both local and nationally recognized artists at the Weizenblatt Gallery in Mars Hill. Established in 1991 as a gift from the estate of Dr. Sprinza Weizenblatt, Asheville physician and philanthropist, the primary function of the Weizenblatt Gallery at Mars Hill University is to educate through art. The Weizenblatt Gallery hosts exhibitions of work in a variety of styles and mediums ranging from the fine arts to the more abstract.

Conveniently located just 20 minutes north of Asheville on the Mars Hill University campus, the Weizenblatt Gallery is an opportunity you won’t want to overlook. Admission is free and the spring senior art show is a particularly amazing time to visit the gallery as the public can admire the incredible creations of the Mars Hill University seniors.

More and more artists continue to find Madison County as a haven for the arts. The dramatic landscapes around every corner provide endless inspiration for every medium. The Weizenblatt Gallery is a fantastic way to look at some of the end results of this inspiration all around us and is a gallery art lovers won’t want to miss.
