Rafting or tubing on the French Broad River

The French Broad River flows through Madison County and rafters couldn’t ask for a better way to cool off. There are several rafting companies to choose from in Madison County that take adventurers on the beautiful French Broad River and through our scenic Appalachian Mountains. Rafting or tubing is the perfect way to experience nature and is fun for the whole family!

Laurel River Trail

Looking for a mellow way to cool down? One great way to get out of the sun and cool off is to stroll on the amazing Laurel River Trail.

The Laurel River Trail is a fantastic (and flat!) 3.5 mile out-and-back trail that follows the enchanting Laurel River. The trail is almost entirely covered in shade and there are ample opportunities to access the river and dip your feet in the cool water.

A stroll on the Laurel River Trail is an awesome way to spend a warm afternoon in nature.
